HOME SCHOOL RIDING LESSON PROGRAM
Stonehaven Farms offers a special lesson program to area Home School students that have a love of horses and would like to learn to ride. Beginning in the fall of 2008, this curriculum based riding program is tailored specifically for the needs of Home School students and their families. The lesson program includes an orientation to the facility, hands on instruction in grooming, tacking and leading a horse, and beginning riding skills at the walk and trot. Lessons may also be tailored to more advanced levels as needed.
All Home School groups are eligible. A minimum of 3 riders must sign up for the program to begin a new lesson group, or students may join an existing Home School lesson group. Riding lessons must take place on weekdays during traditional school hours. Riders that commit to a monthly lesson schedule will enjoy a cost of $20 per lesson. Per lesson rate is $30. Cash or checks only... No credit cards accepted.
Stonehaven Farms is aware of the unique opportunity that Home Schoolers have to research a subject matter and explore it to the fullest. Our trainer, having an education background, is more than willing to work with the Home School curriculum to provide more in depth study on various subjects in the equestrian field.
